Brighton JHS Kota Wisata students recently spent an exciting and educational day at BMKG, diving into the fascinating world of weather, climate, and earth science. This special learning experience took them beyond textbooks and into real-life scientific exploration.
From the moment they arrived, students were greeted by BMKG experts who introduced them to the institution’s critical role in Indonesia. They learned how BMKG continuously monitors weather patterns, climate changes, air quality, and geological activities to ensure the safety and preparedness of communities nationwide. Through engaging presentations, the students saw how data—from temperature and rainfall to earthquakes and tsunamis—is collected, analyzed, and transformed into vital public information.
Through hands-on observations and direct explanations from experts, our students gained fresh insights and sparked new curiosity. The visit encouraged them to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and better understand the science that shapes everyday life. It was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and unforgettable wisdom.
