Depok, Indonesia—ABC Kids Elementary is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural book project, a unique compilation showcasing the creative stories penned by both teachers and students. This landmark project represents the vibrant and imaginative spirit of the ABC Kids Community, celebrating the diverse voices and talents within the school. We are excited to provide a platform for the students to develop their multi-talented skills, and we invite the community to be a part of this journey.
The Book, titled “My Dream Life,” is a treasure trove of original tales that span a wide range of genres, from thrilling adventures to enchanting fantasy and relatable everyday life. Each story is a testament to the collaborative efforts between our students and teachers, underscoring the school’s commitment to fostering literacy, creativity, critical thinking, and a love for storytelling.
Ms Harizka expressed her excitement about this pilot project, stating, “This Book is more than just a compilation of stories; it reflects our students’ creativity and the supportive environment we strive to create at ABC Kids Elementary. We believe every child has a story to tell, and through
this project, we aim to nurture their passion for writing and storytelling.” This Book proves that every child is intelligent and excellent and shines brightly with their character.
Among the captivating stories features in the Book are:
- “My New Friend” by Grade 1 Student Given is a story about a boy who loves to play outside and who loves to have a new friend who teaches him a lot of things.
- “Monkey & Fox” by Grade 4 Student Dhana is a story of friendship and forgiveness between two animals in the forest.
- “The Origins of the Javanese Language” by Grade 6 Student Darren. This is when Hanacaraka, or Javanese letters, have been used since the 17th Century.
To celebrate the launch, ABC Kids Elementary will host a special event on June 2nd, 2024, at ABC Kids Elementary Auditorium. The event will include a reading session where the authors read selected stories aloud. Copies of the Book will be available by PO, and we will spread the order form to those who haven’t purchased a copy.
The success of this project has inspired ABC Kids Elementary to consider making it an annual tradition, aiming to continuously encourage and showcase the creative talents of their students and teachers. “We hope this book will be the first of many, providing a platform for our young writers to shine and share their stories within the community,” added Ms Harizka
