Kota Wisata –This week, we present a special episode of the ABC Kids Podcast – ABC Kids Podcast On the Spot! This episode centers on “Entrepreneurship in Early Childhood,” hosted by Ms. Tina. The guests include Mr. Ir. Sigit Permana, the Managing Director of Yayasan Karya Kasih Mandiri, and Ms. Trinita Hestiana, the Education Director of ABC Kids & Brighton School. Additionally, Aqeela, a student who participated in the Business Day event, also shares her experiences.
Mr. Sigit emphasizes the significance of introducing entrepreneurship in early childhood. “Entrepreneurship is one of the most important skills in early childhood. This event allows students to sell their own creations, such as toys and books, fostering creativity and confidence.” He further advises, “While students are still learning, they need proper training from an early age to develop these skills effectively.”
Ms. Nita emphasized the students’ impressive initiative. “In this event, students independently approach buyers and create their promotional strategies. I am extremely proud of them for demonstrating such entrepreneurial spirit early.”
One of the young entrepreneurs, Aqeela, shares her experience selling donuts, coffee, iced tea, and more during the event. She excitedly recounts how she and her classmates decorated their stalls with the help of teachers and parents. Reflecting on her journey, she says, “I earned a lot of profit from selling my food, but I also feel a little sad because this is my last Business Day event before I graduate.”
