ABC Kids Student, Won Third Place in Medley Relay Men for KERAPDA DKI Jakarta

Lazlo Sutanto Won Third Place in The Medley Relay Men for KERAPDA DKI Jakarta

Another good news is coming from ABC Kids elementary school at Kota Wisata. Lazlo Archenio Sutanto has just won 3rd place and obtained a bronze medal on a 4 x 50M Medley Relay Men, Group 4, in the DKI Jakarta Regional Swimming Association Championship (KERAPDA). The competition was held from the 2nd to the 4th November 2022.

Lazlo, currently sitting as a 3rd grader, informed us that his passion for swimming began ever since he was a young child.

“Both my parents were swimming athletes, and I followed in my parent’s footsteps and continued training like them,” says Lazlo.

The will to win drove Lazlo to participate in many swimming competitions. As of this moment, Lazlo has partaken in five different competitions and received several medals, which include:

  • 3rd Place – Men’s 4 x 50 M Medley Relay, Group 4, Result: 2:40.86, Regional Swimming Association Swimming Championships (KERAPDA) DKI Jakarta 2-4 November 2022 Millennium Aquatic Jakarta.
  • 1st place – 4 x 50 M Men’s Freestyle Relay, Group 4, Result: 1:44.06, “Independence Day Swimming Championships” 20-21 August 2022 Millennium Aquatic Jakarta.
  • 3rd place – 100 M Men’s Breaststroke, Group 4, Result: 1:44.06, “Independence Day Swimming Championships” 20-21 August 2022 Millennium Aquatic Jakarta

Lazlo mentioned that his KERAPDA victory was a gift for himself and his parents.

“Even though I placed third in the competition, I am still quite happy,” said Lazlo, “I will not waste time to be a champion.” Such a winning served as fuel for Lazlo to continue practicing better for upcoming competitions so that he could achieve first place.

To the public eye, Lazlo might be winning, but those could have gone smoother. He admitted his struggles during the KERAPDA championship, such as fighting the internal feeling of discouragement. To minimize such a feeling, Lazlo underwent serious training as preparation, courage, and practice discipline. Of these, he noted discipline as the key factor to his winnings. Lazlo practiced every morning before school and managed his time well through efficient time allocation between school and swimming.

Lazlo concludes with his hopes for the future: to become a professional swimmer, stay authentic, and be a champion in swimming competitions. Congratulations, our dearest student; your will to win, discipline, and efficient time management skills inspire all of us to become GREAT.
