Feisca Vayra Arzanti, a 15-year-old student at Brighton JHS Depok, has already started to draw attention with her innovative thinking and dedication to education. During her time at Brighton, she came up with the idea for a study website called “StudyWithStarRail” as her final project.
“I found it challenging to stay focused when studying uninteresting or boring subjects, and I like to play games. Why not combine both instead of choosing between study and play?” said Feisca. StudyWithStarRail introduced a concept of study-meets-fun that aimed to keep middle schoolers engaged.
The study section comprises the following key features:
- – Knowledge Tests: Interactive quizzes to assess comprehension.
- – Areas for Improvement: Feedback on weak points for users to focus on.
- – Summaries: Concise yet comprehensive summaries to aid students’ understanding.
Feisca has implemented a system to make learning more rewarding. Users can earn “money” for correct answers, which can be spent on in-app prizes. Additionally, the website includes sections for sharing study tips and engaging in discussions with other learners.
What makes StudyWithStarRail stand out is its inspiration from Feisca’s personal experiences and interests. As a gamer herself, she wanted to create a platform that combined the fun aspects of gaming with the structure of studying. After searching for inspiration, a UI design of a character she stumbled upon on Pinterest sparked the idea of incorporating elements from one of her favorite games into the theme of the website.
Feisca has big plans for StudyWithStarRail. She envisions expanding the program to include high school students in grades 10 through 12. “If I ever get the chance to expand it, I would want high schoolers from grades 10 to 12 to be able to use it too. I’d like to add more prizes and provide an even more comprehensive summary for each topic,” Feisca stated. By gamifying the learning experience, Feisca aims to motivate students like herself, who enjoy gaming but also strive for academic success.
