All aboard! Our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students went on an exciting and memorable adventure to Bogor Station, combining fun, exploration, and hands-on learning outside the classroom!
The journey began as our students gathered together and prepared to take the Commuter Line to Bogor. For many of them, this was a special opportunity to experience traveling by train with their friends and teachers. Before boarding, students were introduced to the process of using public transportation, including how to purchase and pay for their train tickets. They learned how to use the ticketing system, prepare their payment, and keep their tickets or travel cards safe throughout the journey.
The students also learned about the importance of planning their trip. They practiced checking the train route, identifying the correct platform, waiting for the train safely, and following the instructions given by their teachers and station staff. These simple yet meaningful activities helped students become more familiar with the steps involved in using public transportation in their everyday lives.
Once the train arrived, the adventure continued! During the Commuter Line journey, students enjoyed traveling together while observing the scenery along the way. They also had the opportunity to practice important life skills, such as following public transportation rules, staying together as a group, being aware of their surroundings, and showing consideration for other passengers.
Upon arriving at Bogor Station, the students continued their adventure by experiencing another popular form of public transportation—the angkot. This gave them the opportunity to learn about a different type of transportation commonly used by people in their daily lives. Students experienced the process of boarding the angkot, traveling together, and learning how the payment system works.
Throughout the trip, our students enjoyed spending quality time with their classmates and teachers. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, conversations, and exciting moments along the way. More than simply visiting a new place, this trip allowed students to learn through real-life experiences and discover that meaningful learning can happen anywhere—even at a train station, on a Commuter Line, or while riding an angkot!
This exciting journey to Bogor was a wonderful opportunity for our students to develop confidence, independence, teamwork, and awareness of their surroundings. They learned practical skills such as planning a journey, purchasing tickets, managing payments, navigating public transportation, following safety rules, and being responsible passengers.
From the Commuter Line ride to Bogor Station to the angkot experience, every part of the journey became a valuable learning opportunity. The trip was not only about reaching a destination but also about discovering new experiences, learning how to navigate the world around them, and creating unforgettable memories with friends.
What an incredible adventure it was!
